  • Clean Classrooms Equals Healthy Kids

    Funded Dec 30, 2024

Thank you so much for your thoughtful donation for a plethora of cleaning supplies. The flu has been running rampant this year, but attendance has improved and I am elated. Each day we are able to spray our classrooms and wipe down the desks and high point touch areas. The district has advised us to do this when the kids are not present so I do it everyday after school or each morning before they arrive. I love a fresh smelling classroom and knowing that it is cleaned and sanitized makes my job easier because I don't have to worry about germs being spread so frequently. Thank you for thinking of us and keeping us all healthy.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Cohen

  • Care Closet Restock

    Funded Jan 26, 2025

Thank you for your generosity. Restocking our care closet is one of the most rewarding feelings for myself and my students. I have one student in particular who needs to visit the care closet everyday. She is living in a motel because her family has not been able to afford housing. She is very very grateful for the basic needs thr care closet is able to provide. She told me this past week that I don't understand how fearful she is and she really appreciates me doing this for her. I told her if it weren't for kind people around the world who care about our classroom I wouldn't be able to provide. With tears in my eyes and love in my heart we thank you so much.”

  • Care Closet 2.0

    Funded Jan 1, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donation. This donation will always mean the world to me because it ensures that kids have basic needs. So many students in my second period class use this closet daily. They are so appreciative. I have a few students who are homeless at the moment and have taken extra cans of soup, drinks, or soap for their families. This shows me how much they care for their loved ones especially their younger siblings. Thank you for caring and allowing me to help my students not have to worry about basic needs. With this care closet we are able to focus on academics and making learning fun.”

  • Printer, Paper and Projects

    Funded Dec 18, 2024

Thank you so much for your generous donation. Having a colored printer has brought so much life into our classroom. The kids have been able to print out their informational and opinion writing pieces, the hallways have been brighter with our dynamic bulletin boards, incentive bags to celebrate accomplishments have been printed, and everyday resources to enhance our academics have been printed using our new printer. It is so convenient and is the only access to a colored printer for teachers and students in our building. Thank you so much for all of your support to our classroom.”

  • Book Clubs Are for Cool Kids!

    Funded Dec 31, 2024

The kids have asked that we never read any book again. They come in asking me can we please read Hatchet. The suspense, engagement, survival skills, and anticipation that the book brings has my students craving for more time to read and dive into the text. The kids have seen me model the chapters so far and they are excited to start reading aloud to the class using the book. Their love for reading is slowly but surely coming back and I am elated. Our book study has all students excited to answer comprehension questions. Thank you so much for helping bring reading back to life in room 123.”

  • Warm Winter Wonderland Gifts

    Funded Nov 25, 2024

This project will always be near and dear to my heart. Brining something so simple yet so fulfilling to a group of 50+ children has warmed my heart this holiday season. The blankets were so soft. These were hands down the best quality blankets for children I could have ever dreamed of.

The students were given their gifts on a Thursday at our holiday party. The next morning they came ranting and raving about how they slept with the blankets the night before. They described them as soft, warm, and many stated they will never sleep with anything else.

Many students "wore" their blankets to school the next day. Standing at the bus stops, riding public transportation, and not wanting anyone at home to take their blanket has made students extremely territorial of their hats, blankets, and

    gloves.

They received their gifts in "Rudolph" bags made with the crafts sent in this project. This was a joyous and warm occasion for so many children. This has been one of my favorite projects yet. We will never be able to thank you enough.”

  • 4th Grade Care Closet

    Funded Sep 27, 2024

I can't begin to thank you for your kindness. I explained to students that our care closet is a needs based closet and they humbled me in the best way. Students felt grateful, some a little embarrassed but I reassured them that we all are here to help each other and it is ok to need help.

My students and their parents were so thankful for under garments, small meals, lotion, hair products, and snacks. As a class we have already gone through half of the materials that were sent to us.

Due to the nature of this project, no students were photographed. Please know we are forever grateful for your kindness”
