Funded Nov 21, 2024Thank you so much for donating to my project. The head phone adapters will be so beneficial to my students being able to keep using their headphones when the audio jack stops working. An organized computer cart will make this teachers heart happy and the students will be able to become more independent and responsible with their computer.”

Stem Bins Galore
Funded Aug 18, 2023I created some stem bins for my students to use during our independent center time. The different building materials allow my students to use their imagination to build different things. For those students that might struggle with what to build, I printed different activity cards that have images of things they can build using the different materials.
My students loved receiving these new items and could not wait to start using them. These stem bins have brought a new love for their independent center time. Thank you for helping me keep my students engaged and learning fun.”

Let's Get Printing
Funded Jul 7, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Having a colored printer in my classroom has helped me to be able to print vibrant colored activities for the students to work on. It has also allowed me to print things last minute if we need something. If I run out of copies or need extra I no longer need to find someone to cover my class so I can go to the copier, now I can just do it right in our room. The containers have also helped me to be able to organize all of our math manipulates that our district has ordered us. Again thank you for your donation to help me run a successful classroom.”

Virtual Learning for the Win
Funded Oct 27, 2020Thank you again for your generous donations. During this new and challenging time for students and teachers I am always looking for ways to enhance my lessons or make them easier for my distant learners. The iPad and Apple Pencil allowed me to be able to share my screen with my students and create anchor charts for lessons. I was able to direct drawings with them on zoom sessions. These items allowed me to do things that I would normal do with my students in the classroom, in a virtual setting. The students loved this and became more engaged in the lessons.”

Distance Learning Kinders
Funded May 9, 2020Thank you so much for your donation. In March our schools were closed for the remainder of the year. This was so hard on the students and the teachers. With your donations I was able to purchase digital resources that I could use with my students in our zoom sessions to enhance our learning experiences. I was also able to share my iPad screen where I could draw or create anchor charts to go with our lessons using the stylus pen. This brought joy and some since of normal to my students as we finished out the school year in a new a different way.”

Funded Nov 26, 2019The items of chair bands, wobble seats, and sensory items are a great addition to my classroom. They are items that I am able to supply to students who have a little extra energy and need another way to stay focus on the task at hand. The wobble seats have become a great addition to add to my computer center. I have several students that have been through some tough times and have some extra angry that they don't always know how to express. Being able to create a calm down area with the different sensory items is key to helping these students find a safe and healthy way to deal with these emotions that they really don't understand. Thank you so much for your generous donations to help my students.”

A World of Literature
Funded Nov 26, 2019Thank you so much for your generous donation. The books that were purchased with your donation go with a Literacy curriculum that I use in my classroom. Each week we read and discuss two books that are similar. Sometimes it is a fiction and nonfiction book other times it is books that are the same genre. We discuss story elements, text features, and retell the stories. At the end of the week we always complete a craft that goes with the theme of the books. I love that my students get a chance to listen to a variety of literature as well as discuss them. I am building life long readers with your help.”

Reading and Technology
Funded Oct 28, 2017Thank you again for your generous donation. With today's world being so into technology it seems only right to bring it into the classroom. I am always trying to find new ways to keep my students engaged in what they are learning. Since my students are only 5 and 6 years old most of them do not know how to read a book, but has a teacher I know the importance of reading for my students. I decided that I would put technology and reading together for my students.
With these new iPods my students are able to use them in a listening center where they are able to listen to hundreds of different stories that they are unable to read themselves. When it is a groups turn to go to this station they are able to scan a QR Code that then takes them to a video of the story being read to them. After they are done listening to a story they are then required to complete a response sheet about the story has a way to show they are listening.
My students love this station and I find them listening to the stories several times and never complaining about how they can't read the book. The iPods have changed how I do stations and my students will actually complain if I don't have them has part of the rotation. I love seeing their excitement to listen to a story and I know they will grow as readers.”
