A regular day in my classroom is always full of questions and thinking from my first graders. They are like little scientists trying to ask and learn as much as they can every day. We have a small school with no more than 500 students where every teacher works really hard to get the best from every single student. Our school is in a rural, high-poverty area in the southwest region of the United States, where most students have learned English as their second language. Students at our school always make us feel proud in all manners. Our students are kind, humble, helpful, and with a great heart.
