I am requesting molecular model kits to help my students take an often abstract concept and make it easier for them to conceptualize by incorporating a visual, hands-on activity. Science is best learned by doing. Instead of just reading about or being lectured to about how atoms bond together, students will be able to build the models themselves. The modeling kits will allow students to construct 3-D models of a variety of molecules and compounds. This allows for students to see how different elements actually bond together and can also help in visualizing how atoms are rearranged during a chemical reaction.
