  • Indoor Recess Fun!

    Funded Aug 2, 2023

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! Because of you, my students now have a large selection of games and activities to collaboratively take part in when we are unable to go outside for recess. These games have allowed students to get to know each other through play, and develop new friendships! The students were so excited to hear the news that our project had been funded! When the packages started arriving, the joy that was on their faces was priceless! We can not thank you enough for supporting our classroom!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooksey

  • Black History, Social Emotional Learning, and Alternate Seating!

    Funded Feb 8, 2023

Thank you so much for your generous support and your kind donation! Because of you, students are more engaged during our whole group lessons each day. My energetic students that require movement during their lessons and throughout the day are so happy with their new wobble stools! Their faces lit up when the packages arrived! They are now able to move and wobble while working, and the stools have greatly contributed to an increase in sustained attention!

The materials that we received for our calm down corner have made a huge impact! The posters and flip chart add visuals for the students to use when they are dealing with strong emotions, and the calming bottles have been used several times already! My students have been all smiles since receiving their new materials! Our next project we are thinking about is indoor recess materials that will allow students to collaborate and play together when indoor recess is required. None of these projects would be possible without donors like you that are willing to support our students! We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

  • Math Basics: Can We Count On You?

    Funded Apr 30, 2022

I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to help my class! My students are so grateful! We reached a point in the year where we were out of so many essential items, and trying to accommodate as best as we could. Because of your generous donations, my students were blessed with new clipboards and pencils, notebooks, whiteboards, and markers. It is amazing how the basics can make such a huge difference! My students have been very engaged during our math lessons while using their new whiteboards and markers. They are so happy that they don't have to make due with scrap paper and pencils anymore! All tattered notebooks were also replaced with new ones, so they now have space to organize their notes and practice problems! We plan to make our new materials last a very long time! Thank you so much for your generosity!

    Sincerely,

    Mrs. Cooksey and Students”

    With gratitude,

  • Alternative Seating

    Funded Dec 26, 2016

My students and I thank you so very much for your generous donation and support. Your donation allowed us to purchase several stability balls to use in the classroom as alternate seating options. These stability balls allow my already active students the be mobile while working. I have seen a large increase in on-task behavior from my students since getting these new items. Their focus has increased, and so has their productivity. Your donation also allowed us to get 50 pairs of headphones for use during independent work time on their Chromebooks. Many students have broken their headphones, or do not have the means to purchase their own headphones. Our new headphones have allowed students the ability to work independently on their Chromebooks without distracting others from Chromebook noise. You made a huge difference for our classroom, and we are so very thankful! Our project would not have been possible without kind and generous people like you! Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

  • Robotics

    Funded Apr 23, 2016

Thank you so much for your help in getting our project funded! My Robotics Club students are so excited about all of the new parts that we received. With the parts that we received, we have been able to double our participants in our program. I am now working with a fourth grade team and a third grade team. The parts that we received will allow both grade levels to be able to build a fully functioning robot. Our hope is that one of our teams will be able to compete at the state level, and possibly even compete in the world championship. We are so excited for what this year holds. This would not have been possible without your support. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

  • Classroom Essentials

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! It was so exciting to tell my students that their project had been funded! They were so excited to see their new materials being delivered to our room! Your donation allowed us to get a new speaker system in our classroom. Our old speakers were no longer working, and it was very difficult to use media for whole group instruction without having properly working speakers. The new speakers are amazing, and the kids love them! They also received new ear buds to use during rotations. This cut down on the classroom noise which often distracted students when they were trying to work. We also replaced all of our broken and cracked book bins in our library with our new tubs. Now our library looks amazing, and we have a safe place to store our books! We can't thank you enough for funding our project! It made a huge impact on our class!”

  • Blended Learning Tools

    Funded Mar 9, 2016

Thank you so much for funding our project! The students were so excited to hear that we were funded! Seeing their faces light up as the new materials began arriving was priceless. With your donations, we were able to replace our book bins in our library. Many of them were cracked and broken, and did not serve their purpose. Your donation allowed us to have a neat and orderly library where our books can be safely stored. The students also received new ear buds and canvas bags. They LOVE the canvas bags! They use them daily to store their materials as they rotate throughout the room during language and math blocks. They are also better able to concentrate now because the noise level problem was solved by students receiving their new ear buds. Now students are able to work independently without distraction of noises. We thank you so much for your kindness and generosity! It has made a huge impact on my students!”

  • Personalized Learning Classroom Make-Over

    Funded Jan 16, 2016

Thank you so very much for your kindness and generosity! Our class has greatly benefited from your donation! Every student now has a bag to keep their belongings in during rotations. Transitions are much easier now, because they can easily transport their items. My students love the new table and partnership chairs as well. They are used daily, and the students have really enjoyed working together in these spaces. I have seen a tremendous improvement with my students since receiving our materials. We can't thank you enough! Your donations has made a huge improvement in our class.”

  • Personalized Learning Room Make-Over

    Funded Nov 17, 2015

This project has allowed my students the opportunity to spread out and choose different seating options in the classroom while they complete their work. Our classroom has switched to blended learning. This allows me, the teacher, to meet with students in a small group setting. While I meet with students in a small group, the rest of my students are working on their playlist that has all of their assignments on it. Students are able to work at their own pace on hands on activities, as well as digital programs. During this work time, students can sit in the beanbag chairs that were purchased, or they can take part in a partnership activity at our new partnership table. My students have accelerated in the past two months with their work completion. They love being able to sit comfortably in a place of their choosing. I can't wait to see their continued growth. This would not have been possible without your generosity and kindness. My 29 students and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Cooksey

Our school is a Cohort 1 school for blended learning. We are implementing it before the other schools in our township. During our language and math blocks, students take part in a 3 station rotation where they are engaged in digital learning, collaborative learning, or small group instruction. With the various groupings that are taking place in the classroom, students are required to move around often. It becomes difficult with big, bulky tables in the room. It would be much easier if students had more space for their groups, and if they could just take their seat with them to their next rotation. By eliminating several tables and allowing a variety of seating, students will be more comfortable and have more space as they move about in the room. My students are a very active bunch, and they love to work together at times, and separate at times. Having bean bag chairs, stools, and different types of tables will allow them the flexibility that they need to be successful.
