We at SS are planning to implement a Pottery program to the art curriculum to promote art therapy. This tactile studio of art will help students deal with stress, anxiety, and trauma within their lives. This gives the students a finished product and a true feeling of accomplishment. Our students will be able to create many project out of clay such as; vases, pots, plates, and containers. Finally, the pottery wheel will give the students at SS a much needed opportunity of art production and an insight to the trade profession by creating pottery. This opportunity will give our students at SS a chance to create and paint pottery, and maybe an insight into a new job field.
