I teach Math to 120 students daily. My students come from diverse backgrounds with a very large population of non-English speaking students. They are a wonderful bunch of kids who are enthusiastic about learning and assimilating in a new country.
Please help me teach my students that Math is part of everyday life by donating the funds necessary to obtain the materials for a "Checks and Balances" reward system.
Through this program, my students will be tracking their income (which they will receive by doing their jobs in class) and their debits (items they will pay for from their income such as rent and fines) while systematically being part of their micro-society.
Help me answer the most common student question of all time..."Why do we need to know this stuff?"
Thanks for your consideration and any support you can give my classes.
