  • Teaching Spanish Like a Pro

    Funded May 6, 2020

Thanks so much for your generous contribution to my project. This ipad will be used for using Google Classroom. I can record my screen, annotate and model on worksheets and other texts. I will be using this ipad in order to create visual tools to enhance my lessons. This will include interactive graphic organizers and visual vocabulary lessons. I will also download apps that work well in the Spanish classroom. This wonderful ipad will be used to do many cultural lessons, to watch movies, to do oral presentations, play games and use it with a interactive blackboard, practice Spanish exams and any other interests that my students may have. Technology is so important in today's education and my students appreciate this ipad and will use it to the best of their ability and it also makes their learning more meaningful. Without your help, this would have never been possible. Thanks for caring for my students and giving them the best resources they truly deserve.”

  • Incentives and Rewards for Academic Performance: Part 4

    Funded Dec 3, 2018

My students and I are very thankful and appreciative for your wonderful donation to our project. They were very excited to receive all the wonderful items and couldn't wait to get them. The students received their goody bag on Valentine's day and received approximately three to five items in the bag for making the honor of 85 or above during the fall semester. All these students received their favorite color of their choice and items such as pens, pencils, sharpeners, erasers, etc in their bag. I also gave a pen and/or pencil to the rest of the students because they also deserved an item for good behavior, caught doing something good, good attendance, etc. Everyone was rewarded because all my students are hard workers and I instilled in them that it is the effort that counts since Spanish is not always easy. I strongly believe that my students will be working much harder for better grades and because they felt special being rewarded and praised in front of the class. I personally would have not been able to do this without your wonderful generosity.”

  • Incentives and Rewards for Academic Performance: Part 1

    Funded Sep 5, 2018

I am truly thankful for all your generous donations to my classroom project. My students will continue to work hard in school and they truly deserve many of the incentives that they have received. Rewarding them with general school supplies and many of the incentives for excellent academic performance, having good class participation, caught doing something good, honor roll status, excellent homework, excellent attendance is something they strive for as they are very competitive and care for their education. Although they are in high school these incentives give them confidence to continue striving for better academic grades. I not only reward students in the honor roll, but also reward students who have made improvements. Your dedication to making this possible will truly shape my students motivation in their Spanish class in becoming high achieving students. My students and I thank you profoundly for caring about our education and learning.”
