Funded Mar 9, 2017Thank you for the donations. Through you donations students were very happy to have print rich work that can allow them see the key terms or concepts clearly. Additionally, they were given the opportunity to interact with the text and note their questions or concerns on chart paper, notebooks, graphic organizers or on the sticky notes to show case their learning.
In having the materials they felt empowered and appreciated to see that their work come alive. They were eager to annotate, cite textual evidence and color code their learning. They felt involved and invested in their learning. Therefore it is important that students are given the tools for learning in-order to take ownership. Learning must show evidence with a purpose in mind so that students can rise to the occasion and produce excellent work product.
Our next step is to compile students' work, peer assess, write reflections of their learning and publish their work.”
