We Love New Classroom Books!
Funded May 13, 2019Thank you so much for providing new books for our classroom. The students love having new series they can choose to read. The picture books have also been great to teach growth mindset and different reading strategies to the students as a class. The fifth graders just love having their teacher read them a picture book, and they teach so many different concepts.
My students love the new books and are so grateful to everyone that donated and continued to help foster their love for reading!! Thanks again!!”

Historical Fiction Books for Cross-Curricular Teaching
Funded Oct 17, 2018My students have loved having these new books. Many of the students are currently using them in their guided reading groups. The books have helped the students to better understand the social studies concepts we teach. The books have also helped us to integrate more social studies into our literacy core. They have helped to increase student interest in historical fiction and in learning more about U.S. history. My students and I are so grateful for the generous donations that helped get these books into our classroom. The students are so excited to read these books!”

Funded Oct 9, 2017I am so grateful for your donations to my classroom. They have made a huge difference. We have been using the books to teach the students some critical thinking skills and problem solving skills. We used some of the skills they have learned in a classroom simulation of an escape room earlier this week. The students were able to be successful because the worked collaboratively and thought critically.
The buzzers and Egg Spert have been helpful for review games and reviewing keys skills. We have used them to review key concepts in math and science so far. The students really enjoy having them and are more engaged when I bring in new technology like this.
Thank you so much for all of your help, and the supplies to help increase my students learning.”

Books Books Books!!
Funded Mar 11, 2016Dear donors, thank you so much for providing my classroom with some new books. We have used these books as read aloud to learn different reading strategies and to enjoy literature. Having good literature in my classroom makes such a difference to me students and is helping them to become lifelong learners and readers.
I am also grateful for the stability ball and wiggle cushions. They help so much with classroom management and student focus. These are especially helpful to my high energy students. They have made a huge difference and have been quite the hit in the classroom. The students will work hard to earn the opportunity to use them.
I am so grateful for the donations to my classroom this year. They have enriched my teaching and the lives of my students. Thank you so much.”

Funded Nov 10, 2015Thank you so much for the resources you helped provide for my classroom. They have made a huge impact during math and science. We have used the Eggspert many times in class as a game to review for tests, and the students always love using them. This week we also made circuits using the supplies you provided. The students were so excite to see their circuit work and light up. Having these supplies has helped to instill in them a love for science.
The students lit up when I first brought the supplies out. They were so excited to have new supplies for our classroom, especially since we live in a lower income area where opportunities to do these experiments would otherwise have been more difficult. There eyes still light up every time we use the Eggspert or the snap circuits. They continually ask for them to be brought out and used in the classroom.
Next, we will be rotating for science. This will give the students in the other classes the opportunity to come into my room and learn about electricity. They will also get to use these supplies to experiment and deepen their learning. Thanks so much for all you have done to help the students in my classroom and at our school. It is greatly appreciated.”
