Finishing Strong in 3rd!
Funded Mar 31, 2025Thank you for the donations and helping us finish strong in 3rd grade. I can’t wait to share the news with kids. I have already found some fun activities for us to do. We are getting ready to read our first novel, learn about fractions, and the life cycle of butterflies! All these resources are courtesy of you and your wonderful donation. Again thank you for helping teachers make a difference and children learn.”

Getting Comfy to Read and Write!
Funded Oct 5, 2023Thank you so much for this wonderful donation. I apologize for not thanking you sooner. Unfortunately, some of the items that were sent to my school, have gone missing, since I am now sharing a classroom with two other teachers. The items that are in my classroom, have made a great difference. The kids love sharpening their crayons and colored pencils. The organizer was supposed to be used for the writing center, however, it is now used to organize my items. I will be using it in the future for the writing center. Again, thank you again for this wonderful donation. It is the little things that make a difference.”

Next Up; Chapter Books!
Funded Mar 31, 2023Thank you so much for all the wonderful chapter books. The kids have enjoyed them, and have swamped books with the other groups. Also, many of the kids have had their parents buy or have gone to the library in order to read another book from that author. It is little things like that, that show me that I along with your generosity, are making a difference in these kids' lives and academic success. I can not wait for the next group of students to be at the level of my previous students, so they too can share in the love of reading these books. Again thank you for the books and have a wonderful year!”

Funded Dec 27, 2022Thank you so much for all the wonderful craft items! The kids have been having a blast using their imaginations and creating some fun items. The glitter seems to be the best part, even for the boys, lol. As you know scissors and glue sticks come in handy beyond craft/free time. They are being used all the time, even by the teacher I share my classroom with. The watercolors are my favorite,, and we use those for special projects, such as creating our portrait for STUDENT OF THE MONTH. Again thank you for generosity and making learning fun.”

Novelas Graficas (Graphic Novels) in Spanish
Funded Dec 30, 2021So sorry for the delay in thanking you and your kind generosity. It has been a worldwind setting up not only the classroom but the library as well, after COVID.
My students, especially my English as a Second Language Learners, really enjoy reading in their native language, but being able to participate in discussions with their classmates on the same books/topics. They now feel included and part of the trend. Again thank you for making someone who speaks a different language, feel welcomed and included in my school environment.”

I'm Ready for Chapter Books
Funded Jan 31, 2022Sorry for the long delay in thanking everyone. As one can imagine it has been a real rollercoaster having the students get used to sharing books again. We are still working on that part, but boy are they enjoying the chapter books. Using our new books, we set up our very own classroom library. Boy was that a lot of work in itself, but very rewarding. Following covid precautions as directed by our district, my students take turns checking books out from our classroom library. Each child has been given a library card, where they have to note the title of the book, the author of the book, and the date it was taken out. In order to receive credit for reading the book, they must complete a book report of their choice. They love showing off what they have read, I just wish I didn't share walls to display all their writing. Again, thank you for your generosity in making this dream come true.”

Using Google Slides to Learn
Funded Jul 3, 2021Thank you so much for the gift cards to Teachers Pay Teachers. We were able to purchase many different and unique slides that were used during our remote learning period. As a teacher having these resources made my life easier and allowed me to spend more time addressing other concerns.
As for my students, they loved the interactive activities and have become very well versed in the use of technology. Students learned how to access a text box and type. In addition, they learned how to insert pictures, after searching for them on google. Also, they learned how to use different writing applications, such as a paintbrush and highlighter, to complete their assignments.
Again thank you for the wonderful gifts. Have a wonderful day!”

Funded Apr 15, 2021Thank you so much for all the wonderful books! My library is starting to resemble its previous glory, with all types of books. I know that generous donors, like you, will make this happen. My students are really enjoying all the books, especially the graphic novels..lol.. We have added a nice comfy chair and a small rug to our little section in the, classroom, where everyone enjoys going and reading. I love the fact I have other students in the school asking to check out books from my library. It is such a great feeling to see kids reading and loving it. Again thank you for all the wonderful donations. You all are helping to make a difference in this world.”

Funded Mar 18, 2020I would like to apologize for not completing this task sooner. Remote learning, as I am pretty sure you are aware of, has been more time-consuming than expected. I would like to take this opportunity and thank you all for the wonderful donations to my book collection. My students, prior to the shutdown, loved the arrival of our new books. Happily, I can say that many of the books have become the property of my students since we never were able to complete the 2020-2021 school year in person. Again thank you for your support and understanding. God Blass you all.”
