I wanted to take the opportunity to express my gratitude, my colleagues gratitude and our students gratitude. How has your donation impacted their lives? Our students are more engaged with one another, they are thriving independently, they are doing things that many thought they would not or could not ever do. One simple act can really change the trajectory of a student's life and you have managed to help our students see that. I have included some pictures of our students working with many of the materials your generous donation helped us get. Thank you again! Wishing you & your family a joyous holiday season!”
With gratitude,
Ms. O'Donnell

At the RCOTC in Brooklyn, our students learn vocational skills that will help them to participate their local communities through volunteer work, or hopefully find employment after graduation. Additionally, our students who are diagnosed with Autism are taught through Applied Behavior Analysis teaching protocols. Supplies that are not a part of a typical curriculum are needed to teach behavior modification and daily living skills. With these materials, our students will have the opportunity to learn how to become independent young adults at home by helping their families with household chores such as setting the table, doing laundry, preparing food, etc. Our students will learn vocational skills such as filing, property maintenance, janitorial duties (Sweeping, mopping, wiping tables) that will enable them to gain employable skills and potentially volunteer in the community. Help them make the best of their time here at the , The RCOTC Center!
