My students are 2nd graders, that enjoy reading and listening to books read aloud. They enjoy stories, jokes, and games. My campus is bursting at the seam with diversity. Some of my students have traveled across country to pursue a better way of life. My campus is a title 1 school, 94% of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Many of my students are faced with socioeconomic challenges and have experienced poverty or homelessness at some point in their lives. My students are driven to overcome the poverty they face by learning the skills they need to be academically successful.
