    Funded Feb 9, 2024

It is fascinating to be blessed to be the recipients of such a wonderfully and unselfish donations from all of the donor parties involved in this project. I know that the children at this school are all very grateful and they said that they hope that children in other schools could also be so lucky to receive such an awesome donation of support! We thank you for all that you have given to us and will remain forever filled with gratitude and indebted to your generosity to pay it forward when we can. Your help and support have taught the children to become future philanthropists when they complete their schooling and begin their careers. It is our hope that some of our students may become future athletes and leaders in the sports world. Thank you for your teamwork, goodness, selflessness, generosity, kindness, and altruism.”

  • Stem Learning for Our Future Scientists

    Funded Dec 6, 2023

Our classroom and school community would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your benevolent donations! We will use these resources to enhance our scientific vocabulary, exploration, and STEM learning along with scientific constructive conversations, asking and answering questions and furthering our scientific foundation.

Our student population was very excited and enthusiastic about using the products provided and learning the new terminology and exploring the scientific process. They were blown away with the resources when they opened up the box for the very first time it was like Christmas in February!

We will continue to use the resources to build bridges and rocket ships to further their scientific exploration and knowledge foundations.

Again, thank you very much for your caring donations. We really appreciate it for the bottoms of our hearts. Thank you.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Pedroza

  • Learning Is Fun in a Calm Classroom!

    Funded Jan 4, 2023

(Dear Philanthropic Donors) My classroom and I would like to give our utmost gratitude to all who have donated to our humble classroom population of pupils. I realize that our impact letter and photos may not completely or accurately depict how extremely pleased my students and I are to have received your contributions, donations and support to satisfy our "CALM CLASSROOM" project.

My students were so surprised when the office called our room and asked me to send several students to pick up the boxes being delivered to my students. They were very enthusiastic to know that I would be setting up a "CALM CORNER" especially created for their well-being and Social Emotional Support to allow them a personal and safe space to "BREATHE!"

I have been slowly introducing these resources to support my students. They tend to bring their feeling and emotions into the classroom when they encounter difficulties in their personal lives and I try to help them use the resources provided in order to engender and kindle empathy with their peers. We have been playing the games included which allow my students an opportunity to converse with one another as they "PLAY GAMES". These games allow my students to lower their affective filter which assures that they are in an emotionally safe place and they begin to lower the invisible walls that they have built around themselves. They are slowly building trust in themselves and in their fellow peers.

I have also begun a six week 'FOCUS TRAINING" on SEL to help students identify their mood thermometer and then decide the solution that they will use to regulate and balance out their mood. Thanks to you my classroom continues to be a welcoming spot that promotes a social and emotional learning environment for my students to keep learning! (Please enjoy the images we have included in our appreciation!) Blessings dear donating philanthropists and thank you once again!!! :-)”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Pedroza

  • Technology Equals Innovation

    Funded May 20, 2013

I am very thankful for the endless support that I consistently receive from my family and Donors at DonorsChoose.org Board of Directors. From the funding of these resources to the use of the resources and now to the new learning because of the use of our new resources that I am able to pursue my endeavors with my classroom students. They in turn are able to also succeed in their endeavors as well!

First, "A GREAT ENORMOUS THANK YOU!" to my family and to my donors at DonorsChoose.org. Without your support I would not be able to get the resources necessary for my classroom. Again I am truly blessed!

The funding received pleased my students and their parents also. They were all able to see how these resources will impact their child's new learning capacity. I was also able to conduct my assessments in a more timely manner so as to plan their new learning more expeditiously.

My class and I wish to give many exuberant thanks to the wonderful donations from my family and donors at DonorsChoose.org Board of Directors. Because of your philanthropy of newly added resources to our classroom tools we are able to function more cohesively, do better research, work on higher order thinking skills in research and also get closer to reaching our technology goals in the 21st century. Thank you!!!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Pedroza

  • Getting Organized...Help!

    Funded Sep 13, 2012

It is with my utmost gratitude and that of each of my 46 students that I write this thank you letter of appreciation. If not for you, my village of inspired contributors, my students and I would not understand the significant import of becoming caring and contributing philanthropists. This contribution of chair socks, chart ring organizers and chair pocket organizers for my 46 students has enabled them to find their materials quickly, efficiently, and quietly so as to use class time efficiently, retrieve supplies effortlessly, and be able to work rapidly without noisy interruptions to fellow co-workers. Also, I am able to forge forward in an organized manner to motivate my students in their new learning within the parameters of our set class time. Other teachers have complemented our class productivity; therefore, I attribute this outcome directly to you, my donors. I was also pleased to have donated myself to this, my very first donors choose project! I am encouraged to know that there is a wonderful organization ready and willing to help out teachers, students, and aid in our future generation of leaders. I look forward to writing future technology projects to aid my students in the 21st century. Happy holidays to my village of contributors (NEA,donorschoose, and Won't Back Down), and to your loved ones. May you continue to have joyous holidays and a prosperous 2013! Blessings and Good Will! Till we meet again! :-)”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Pedroza

I have 26 amazingly curious five & six year old 1st grade students. (Outside visiting teachers always tell me how well they communicate and how well-mannered they all are). They come from very humble & loving families who dream for their children to one day be productive & contributing members of society. However, because they come from low socioeconomic backgrounds, many of them don't have books to read at home. I want to assure them every opportunity to dream BIG while in school! Won't you please help me, help them, to attain their dreams too! Thank you for caring so much! The listening center can bring stories to life! It won't replace the parental one-to-one they may be getting at home, however, it will be an additional component to their education. The fact that the listening center is cordless, will allow the students to sit in a personal space on their university throw blanket to immerse themselves into a dream world filled with magnificent opportunities.
