My students are passionate about learning about historical time periods. They are in 4th grade in the Chinatown neighborhood of NY. My students don't often leave their neighborhood due to low incomes with in their families and working parents with multiple jobs. That's why is my job to open their eyes and minds to a world outside of NY in both the present and past. Our school also has been focused the past year in raising the Reading level of all of our students.
