Many of my students are struggling with a lot of emotional issues and often visit our school's wellness room multiple times during the day. I would like to add a wellness corner in my room, so my students can relax on the bean bag, explore sensory items, or complete a puzzle, and still be able to hear the lesson. I also want to create a more relaxing environment for my students in the classroom, the cubby, label maker, and laminator will help keep the room organized and stress-free for the students. Students have Chromebooks, and they need headphones. These will help them to control the noise level as they complete many of their assignments. I will also be able to broadcast calming music with the Bluetooth receiver. The whiteboards and markers will help students to easily show their math and language skills and support student conversations. Lastly, we will use the Polaroid Instant Camera to take pictures of student successes and celebrations. We will post them around the classroom for students to enjoy. I feel that if my students have their own wellness area, more organization, tools to do our school work, and ways for us to celebrate, it will greatly help students to deal with their social and emotional stress due to COVID-19
