1906 in San Francisco!
Funded Apr 9, 2025I am so excited to know that such wonderful people stepped up to help my students learn more about the great San Francisco earthquake which will supplement both our California history and science class. I can't thank each of you enough for your kindness and generosity. I cannot wait to see their faces when the books arrive but more importantly I cannot wait to see the excitement on their faces when they read and understand the significance of the event! Thank you again for helping to give my students the tools they need to be as successful as possible.”
With gratitude,
Mrs. Garcia

Funded Apr 9, 2025There are not enough words to express my joy, gratitude, and thanks for your generous donations to my class project. My students and I are so very appreciative of your support for education and creative techniques for learning about the California Gold Rush. We are looking forward to receiving these books. They will be a great tool as we continue to grow and learn in the classroom. We can't wait to share some pictures of us using our new books! Thank you again!”

This classroom project was brought to life by The DonorsChoose Community and 10 other donors.Go on a Magic Carpet Ride!!!!
Funded Oct 27, 2009Your generous donation to my classroom and students means the world to us! The rug you donated has provided my students with a comfortable and welcoming place in our classroom where they can just sit and enjoy a good book, among other things. My students use the rug in our classroom library daily while silent reading and discussing good books. The rug says "Wild About Books" and my students are just that! This rug will be used by all of my homeroom students this year, as well as future students as long as it is in good condition. Without your generous donation, my students would never have had such a nice, welcoming, colorful place in our classroom to relax and simply read. Thank you so very much!”

Our Classroom As A Portal To The World
Funded May 25, 2009Your generous donations to my classroom and students mean the world to me and my students! The atlases you donated have allowed my students to use their imagination and travel outside of our classroom. We have used the atlases to confirm our understanding of directions (north, south, west, and east), to learn how to find coordinates (A1, C3, etc.), to find places that we are learning about in reading, and to complete class assignments. The atlases are being used by all of my homeroom students this year, and they will be used by my future classes as long as they are in good condition.
As you most likely know, California schools' budgets have been affected drastically recently. Without your generous donations, my students would never have had access to this resource. All of my students, both this year and in future years, will be able to use the atlases to see that there are many places out there in the world besides our small town. Thank you so very much! Your generous donations have shown me that there are people who still feel that education can open doors for all students!”
