Display Learning!
Funded Oct 11, 2023I just wanted to take a moment to thank you again for your very generous donation to our class. First and foremost I want to share how excited the students were when our new supplies arrived! They were so excited to have their own whiteboards that were also clipboards! Even though it is still early in the year, most of their dry erase markers have already died. So, having a new marker was like Christmas!
Everyday the students use the whiteboards during our math lesson. The students watch me model the examples and then they try some on their whiteboard. When they get an answer they hold up their boards and I can quickly scan to make sure that they got a correct answer. If they are incorrect it is so easy to simply erase the area where they made the mistake and to fix it.
I cannot tell you how excited the students where to be able to laminate their work. They love being able to save their work and preserve it.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Mallet
A Rug Would Allow Students To Concentrate!
Funded May 5, 2022My students and I can not thank you enough for donating and allowing us to get a new rug for our classroom. The students now have a place where they can use our wobble stools and rocking chairs! Plus they have a comfortable spot to sit, instead of on the hard floor.
When the rug arrived, the students and I were so excited. I wish I had my camera because the smiles on their faces were priceless. They could not wait to help and carry the rug to our classroom and set it up!
I have seen a drastic increase in class engagement and excitement. Since they are now able to rock and wobble while they are working, they are accomplishing more during independent work time. In the past, the students had to take a break and stop working if they needed a movement break. Now, they can move while they work!!
Once again thank you so much!!!”

This classroom project was brought to life by SONIC Drive-In and 7 other donors. We Love To Read!
Funded Dec 17, 2015I cannot thank you enough for your generous donations. Our class was lucky enough to receive 80 leveled books. I wish you were able to see the joy and excitement on my student's faces when I showed them the books. They were all smiles and could not wait to get to choose a new book to start reading.
In my classroom we dedicate at least an hour every day to reading. I always start with a quick, 10 minute whole group lesson. During the next 50 minutes I provide guided reading lessons, specific skill lessons, or I have a one-on-one conferences. If the students are not working with me, then they are reading books that are at each of their individual levels. As you can imagine, each student reads many books throughout the year. With your donation, I am now going to be able to provide new books for each student to read.
When I explained to my students that we received these books through donations, they were so excited. Of course, they were filled with questions. They even asked if there was anything we could do in return. I explained to them how you had made a donation out of the graciousness of your heart and that we could thank you by continuing to be voracious readers. After all the best way to become a better reader, is to read!”
