Our school is a Title One school in the inner-city in Southeast Washington DC. Our kids are very under privileged and only have one parent in the household. 70% of our fathers are in jail or unemployed , 90 % of our mother's are on Welfare and have more then one child in the house hold. Our school is not in the best neighborhood. These are the government schools in our nation's capital city where for decades politicians of both parties haven't obstreperously pushed for more federal involvement in education and more federal spending on education. Government has manifestly failed the families who must send their children to these schools, and the children who must attend them.
