Hands on STEM materials
Funded Oct 20, 2022Thank you so much for the amazing STEM materials. My students absolutely loved learning about simple machines. The fact that all of these materials were hands-on kits made the learning so much more relevant for them, and they remember all of the different kinds of simple machines that they learned about using these kits. They couldn't wait every day for it to be time to do their simple machine experiments and were completely engaged throughout the lessons. I appreciate your donation, and I know that my students did too!”

Funded Mar 14, 2022Thank you so much for the wonderful beanbags! The kiddos are really loving having some comfortable seating for when they read. They were so excited to see the boxes arrive in the classroom, and very eager to help stomp on them to make them fluffy. We appreciate you! The kiddos in my class aren't used to having nice things, and most of the things that do come into their homes and even the classroom are used, so to see brand new beanbags that no one had used and they didn't have to share with their siblings, cousins, ect was a huge deal for them.”

Funded Jan 12, 2017I cannot tell you how grateful I am that you chose to help my classroom. As the project was being funded, the students and I were watching and waiting hopefully. I had shown them pictures on the computer of what we were hoping to get, and they were very excited. When I told them that it was funded, they were simply overjoyed. They wanted to track the package on the computer each day, and when it was finally delivered, I had about 10 students in my room wanting to help me unpack. I did let them, of course, and to watch them play math games with such enjoyment gives me satisfaction beyond what I can describe. The impact tool like this have on kids like this is immeasurable.”

Learning Puzzles
Funded Mar 19, 2016Thank you so much for the wonderful resources. The kids and I have been enjoying them almost every day. It is such a great way to practice their math skills and their phonics skills. The kids were very excited to see that they would not have to do flashcards, paper/pencil worksheets, and other "boring" activities for phonics practice and math skills practice every day. My older kiddos who have low phonics skills love that they can practice a skill that is way below their grade level, without looking like they are "a baby", because what they are doing looks like what everyone else is doing.
Again, thank you so much. We do not have a great deal of money here at this school, and the parents do not either, so it is very hard to get resources like these. It is with people like you that our children are successful.”

Funded Dec 10, 2015When my kiddos first saw those boxes in my classroom, waiting to get put together, they were so excited. A surprise? For us? It is not very often that these kiddos get something nice, and they absolutely could not wait to see them.
We got them put together, and I wish that you could have seen the looks on their faces. These are the coolest table I have ever seen! Who got these for us? Did we win a prize?
Something about them being colorful and bright just seems to change the whole atmosphere in my room. It is friendly, and warm. They feel like we are a community, ready to learn together.
The day that I let them write on the tables, and work with their neighbor to make a chart about the things that they like and do not like about school was almost magical. You mean we are making the chart here? On the table? Nervous little grins and giggles ensued, as if they were doing something super mischievous, something taboo. The first few strokes of the marker were hesitant, and light. They warmed up to the idea, and what a great way to collaborate. They made their charts with excitement, and produced great pieces of writing because of it.
Thank you again from not just me, but all of the students who you have helped have a slightly different perspective on learning and school work. You are a special person with a huge heart.”
