My 7th and 8th grade students come from a broad range of backgrounds. When we start the year with our "tell us about yourself" activities, I discover that some of my students are in between housing and some have just returned from a trip overseas. They are all passionate about their education. I rarely have a day when I do not have multiple students coming up to me to check up on their grade and ask me what they can do to improve.
