A hero hold high standards and citizens rise to meet them. I am a math teacher in a low income school responsible for closing a 3 to 9 year gap in mathematics before students exit high school. An unfortunate reality is that students with special needs struggle with using technology to demonstrate understanding yet Washington State has moved to testing students on computers which further detracts from my students ability to close the gap. Impossible? No! Nothing is impossible. With you help I WILL continue to accelerate student learning through individualized lessons that raise student mastery of mathematics. This is my second year in the district and the first year an algebra class is offered in special education. Mrs. B's math kids need an iPad to enable our small group lessons to seamlessly incorporate using technology into lessons. Math is no longer enough. Will you be our classroom hero?
