The Future Is STEM
Funded Jan 26, 2022Thank you so much for the generous donation. This means a great deal to myself and my students. I know we will enjoy coding and using these MicroBits. This gives many students the opportunity to experience something they would otherwise never get to. Again, thank you so very much for wonderful donation. These are the things that make a difference.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Utah State Board of Education.Technology! Flexible Seating!
Funded Oct 3, 2018The supplies that you have funded for our classroom have made a big impact on the students. We received a iPad charging station, headphones, PA system, books, and flexible seats. The charging station and headphones have allowed the students to use the iPads at any moment without worrying about them being out of battery, or if there is a set of headphones available. These accessories have helped the students use the iPads more effectively in the classroom. We use the iPads for all kinds of purposes. A few of the ways we use them in our class is to read books, research for writing, math activities, assessing and literacy. The students have really enjoyed the set of books we received. We have been reading the first book in the series, as a class read aloud.
The new product that has made the class the most excited are the flexible seats. This helps with posture and student focus. They have a responded very positively to these seats. It gives them the opportunity to be moving while seating and for this age group, it seems to make a big difference. I have several students that have been able to work independently and focus on their work much more than previously without the flexible seats.
Thank you so much for making such a big difference in our classroom. I know the students have really enjoyed all of the new supplies.”

Strengthening Minds. Changing Lives. Technology!
Funded Nov 28, 2016The iPads have been a tremendous help in the classroom. We use them for all kinds of things. I would like to list a few of the apps we like to use in the classroom. We use several math apps like Xtra math, Place Value, Sushi Math, and many more. I think the most exciting app that has been a huge success in my class this year is Raz-Kidz. It allows the students to read, listen, and take comprehension quizzes on what they have read or listened to. The students then gain stars which allow them to buy characters and items for those characters. I have had several students move up on their reading because of this wonderful app. It also gives the students access to books on their reading level at home that they may not have. We have used the iPads in art class and on air-server to project student work to the whole class and to create some fun videos for the class. My students have been so happy to have these in the classroom. The iPads have helped further their education while having fun.”

Empowering Minds. Changing Lives. iPads!
Funded Oct 21, 2015I have had the opportunity to use the iPads in all kinds of different ways in my classroom. I use it as a tool to project student work. The students use it during our guided reading for word work activities and as a center for literacy. They read and listen to books using Kids A-Z. This helps immensely with reading level progression. We use them during math and in the morning to practice math facts.
Students are excited most about all the different apps. They really enjoy raz kidz, xtra math, sock puppets, sushi monster, and many more. We also use them as a behavior management reward. This is amazing! The students work so hard to get the reward of using an educational app.
I definitely have students that have warmed up to using iPads in the classroom. The students are asking nearly everyday during free time if they can use the iPads. During center time the students get to take turns using Kidz A-Z. This is the center all of the students want to start with because they enjoy it so much. They have made a great impact in my classroom.”
