New Books and Center Activities!
Funded Jan 26, 2022Thank you so much for your generous donations! The books that were donated to my classroom will be used and loved for many years to come. I look forward to using the books during my literature circles where I will teach many reading, comprehension, and vocabulary skills. The soft start activities will be a wonderful addition to the start of each day. My students will be able to start the day with a quiet, relaxing, brain boosting activity to help them ease into the classwork of the day. Many of my students were so excited to take on the Lego building challenge with the new sets I received. They went to work building and constructing together. When my students work together to solve a problem or tackle a challenge, I know it will help them in the future when they encounter other problems to be solved, whether it be in math, reading, writing, science, or social studies. Thank you again for your generous contributions to my students and classroom!”
With gratitude,

Funded Nov 9, 2017Words cannot express how truly grateful I am for your donations and generosity. The Chromebooks and headsets that were donated to my classroom have and will be used in so many different ways by countless students throughout the years. There are so many resources available to them now and learning is literally at their fingertips!
My students have used these Chromebooks for work with online reading programs which provide online books on each student's exact reading level. This allows students to access books that they might otherwise not be available to them. Students also learn from an online leveled math program. This program fills in the gaps and missing concepts a student might have about a subject in math. My students also complete lessons and receive updates from me, the teacher, through Google Classroom. Without these devices none of these essential and valuable online resources would be available to my students.
My students are gaining so much more with these useful devices. They are learning skills that not only shape their education, but also give them a leg up in this fast paced technology driven world. Again, thank you for your generosity and for donating to my classroom.”

Funded Oct 21, 2015I am writing this letter to tell you how much I appreciate your generous technology donation to my classroom! The Chromebooks I received for my classroom have been put to use in many different ways. My students use them to work on individual and collaborative research projects and also use them to gather information to write and publish essays and other writing assignments. I have noticed many of my students are excited about this new technology.
My students have worked in groups during social studies to find information and create a power-point presentation about different aspects of slavery and the Civil War. Students shared their presentation with me through Google Drive and I was able to help them polish up their work during the research process. I have also had students use the Chromebooks to search for information and create an animal adaptation report during science rotations. Students have loved finding facts about their favorite animals and typing up their reports.
One student in particular has been really excited about the new technology in our classroom. This student is learning how to deal with anxiety and autism and he has a really strong interest in all things related to technology. When the Chromebooks arrived the first day, this student was so excited and offered to help me unpack them and get them set up. I have started calling him my "Tech Guy" because he is so knowledgeable about anything electronic!
Again, I thank you so much for your generous donation. I believe every child has the right to a quality education and this new technology will only help foster that love of learning that each child deserves to feel and experience.”
With gratitude,
Ms. White
