These items allow my classroom to work in a more flexible manner and give choices to my students. In a Montessori classroom, giving the students the ability to choose is a big part of the individual learning process. By having a CD player, many of my struggling readers have access to books on tape. The headphone splitters gives me flexibility in allowing more than one student listen at a time. The stools and floor cushions allow students to have flexible seating. Some students cannot work for extended periods of time at a desk so floor cushions and stools are an easy way to provide options for all students. The clipboards are also helpful in making this possible.
