  • Lights, Camera, Let's Get Moving

    Funded Mar 9, 2020

My students was wondering how would we use your donation virtually than we realized that if we add it to our virtual canvas everyone including their parents could enjoy the sounds of the speakers and lights. During Hispanic month the speaker and lights brought the Latin vibe to life.. The students were really surprised at how everything came to life. My face to face kids were ecstatic by the amazing sounds and lights. They are enjoying celebration of music more and more. We are truly grateful for your donation and thank you all for making cyber dancing for special needs students enjoyable.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Thompson

  • Moving Into Learning

    Funded Mar 27, 2018

I want to thank you from my soul... When my learners entered my class and saw the bright colors, and clean desk the expression on their faces was priceless. I have several wheelchair students, non verbal learners, and a vision impaired learner this year. The tablets that they have this year will assist them in their I-ready program. Thus far they have successfully passed the diagnostic exam. My non verbal, and vision impaired student really will benefit from the talking phonics, and the hands on activity books that you donated to my class. I can not thank you enough for your unselfish donation to my class.

Once, again Thank you for all you do..”

    With gratitude,

  • Reaching Special Need Learners Through Technology

    Funded Mar 11, 2016

    To my class donors

I want to no we want to thank you for allowing my learners an opportunity to start coming out of their she'll. They began to speak, echo, smile, touch, and express their gratitude. That is something they wouldn't do before. Not only in my class but in their other classes also. You all are a blessing to them. Their parents are raving on how their kids are excited to come to school, and for a teacher to here that. I'm elated.

Once again I can't thank you enough for what you have done to assist me with my Autistic learners”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Thompson

My students are low to medium function learners. The school is made up of predominately ESOL speakers. Each one of my learners are using the picture Que cards, and visual schedule to follow their day. They are very reserve, and have the drive to learn new and exciting things when its presented in a safe environment. Each of my learners have fought a hard battled of illness besides being Autistic. For an example I have 3 that can not physically keep steal for more than 15 minute interval unless he is listening to music. The tablets that I am so desperately in need of will give the learners an outlet to a different kind of world. The tablets will help them with their occupational therapy, speech therapy, and motor skills. "Many are nonverbal or low-verbal, and even those who are highly verbal often have a big degree of anxiety when interacting with someone. " If my project is funded the tablets will give my learners an opportunity to feel confident within themselves.
