Brainpop Subscription
Funded Aug 10, 2023Thank you for allowing me to share BrainPop with my Special Education students. BrainPop is a great resource because it provides videos with closed captions, quizzes with an immersive reader and a host of other resources. I love the vocabulary handouts because they help my students learn the words and definitions.
My students really enjoy watching the BrainPop videos because they are entertaining and educational. The students are required to take the Living Environment regents exam. BrainPop caters to all learning styles. Thanks again.”

Funded Dec 21, 2021Thank you so much for donating to my technology project. We truly appreciate your kindness. My students and I are amazed by your generosity and thoughtfulness.
Technology is helping my students learn by allowing them to listen to the videos embedded in their assignments without any distractions. The students are able to focus. The background noise is blocked out.
My students were so excited about their new headphones. They were able to hear the video better. Moreover, they felt loved because you were kind enough to help them get what they needed.
Thanks again.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Con Edison and one other donor.Technology Assistance
Funded Sep 27, 2020Technology helped my students complete their science assignments. The students used the devices to search the internet, log into Google Classroom, and complete assignments using various websites. Technology caters to the various learning styles. The kinesthetic learners get to interact with the devices. The visual learners have the opportunity to watch videos and the auditory learners listen to the videos.
Students are excited to have a new product because they do not always have the opportunity to have anything brand new. I teach in a Title 1 School in NYC. The students come from low-income households, NYCHA housing and single-parent households. The new technology also makes the students feel proud and worthy. They deserve the new devices. We thank each donor from the bottom of our hearts.
Students who have especially warmed to this new technology are the Special Education students. Many of the students learn better when they use technology.
Thanks again!”

Bill Gates of the Future
Funded Jun 23, 2009Often times as a teacher, I struggle with deciding to purchase supplies for my students that I think they should already possess or just finding other ways around getting the job done. Your generosity has created a class of ecstatic students who are now able to finally type and save their work knowing they will see it again.
At Erasmus campus there are at least five schools that share technology and often times student work is not saved properly, deleted accidentally or just lost due to not saving it correctly. Your donation has made my students' lives so much easier and has saved me a lot of money and time.
Initially, I planned to ask each student to purchase a flash drive for my English class. However, in order that students have the exact flash drive with at least 1g of memory, I would have to collect money from each student and purchase the flash drives myself. While this would be ideal there are many variables that go along with this idea. One of which is students cannot afford the $12.00 or $15.00 for the flash drive.
In order to eliminate any problems that may arise as a result of requesting money from students for supplies, I purchased a 4g flash drive in order to save students work myself. Once they typed their work on a laptop in the school's library, I would go around to each student and save their work, make corrections, and print out completed work either at school or at home.
Your generous donation has affected not only my classroom, it has also affected me in so many ways. I no longer have to do double and triple work making sure my students have feedback on their writing assignments or run around from laptop to laptop saving their work. My students can now type their assignments, make corrections where necessary and print and submit their work in a timely manner.
Thank you so much for thinking, sharing and caring about students and educators alike. Your generosity has helped a lot of students get the job done in a timely manner and with a smile on their face.
