As our school is becoming increasingly diverse, we are experiencing more students who live in poverty and who don't have the opportunities that many of their classmates enjoy. We are not a Title I school which means that these students don't have the benefit of federal dollars that many of the other schools in our school system use. Our school is also striving to incorporate STEAM concepts, both in the classroom and in our makerspace, which opened this past spring.
