Print the World
Funded Jan 24, 2020Thank you so much for the printer! The students did not believe that anyone would donate such a large item until it arrived. This item will aid in allowing the students to print their online art. Also, being able to print flyers, photos, and information will continuously aid in future projects.
Furthermore, having the ability to use any technology at all has definitely excited the students. Many watch videos at home and have seen the possibilities that are available when incorporating printers with their work. Since the induction of our printer many are broadening their career horizons. Some of my artist are even considering careers in photography or animation.
Additionally, most of the students are technology inclined therefore they are thoroughly amazed by our new printer! Again we thank you for your overwhelming support in education and in our classroom!”
With gratitude,
Ms. Traylor
This classroom project was brought to life by Anonymous Arts Supporter and one other donor.Watercolor MY World
Funded Dec 27, 2019Thank you so much for the watercolors. The students are using them to create watercolor cards for the retirement home. Not only are they able to create beautiful backgrounds, but they are also learning how to mix colors as well. These watercolors will also later serve as a component for our color theory unit that is coming up in about two weeks.
The students were so excited to see the box. Quite honestly, they were in disbelief that anyone outside of the school would be interested in investing in their classroom. I was met with a lot of, "Are you sure? Why would this person even care about us?" They were floored when the large box came and their eyes were filled with joy when they saw the beautiful supplies.
Finally, our retirement home cards will soon be completed. We have finished about 20 and are working to complete at least 40 more. The students are really understanding the importance of service projects. Some of my students are now interested in a career in painting. Overall, the students have thoroughly enjoyed using these supplies. Making retirement home cards will certainly become a tradition for our campus.”
With gratitude,
Ms. Traylor
