Teaching kindergarten through distance learning has its challenges, as does every grade. I am striving to make this year a successful kindergarten experience for my new little friends. With your support, my class will have the technology and supplies to aid with distance learning and classroom learning, when we go back . The doc camera will be used to project clear close-up images so my students can have a great visual of what I am modeling, such as writing lessons or teaching points for reading. In addition, the document camera will help project the math lesson and monthly direct draws we do. My school is a Reading and Writing Workshop school which incorporates a lot of individual and class participation. To support learning in workshop, it is important to have students participate in shared writing. The adjustable board will allow students to come up to the board and actively participate. The board will be used for modeling math, science, and art as well. Along with a teacher whiteboard I have a class set of lapboards in my wish list. The students would have a board for themselves to practice writing alphabet letters, words, their name, numbers, and number sentences. I have included books on diversity in my wish list as well. Taking into deep consideration what is happening in our world and local community, I realized I do not have a lot of books on diversity within my classroom library. I would read the books to my students and allow them to read them on their own after. Thank you for your support!
