I have 25 fourth graders, who come from a poverty stricken neighborhood. Many of my students leave school and go home to houses without the resources to help them learn. Many of them do not have computers in their homes or the opportunity to visit museums and libraries. A majority of my students are second language learners who are learning English every day. Even with these challenges in their education, they are still excited to learn and you can see it in their faces every day.
