My students need more socio-emotional tools to tackle the complex and ever-changing learning environment created by COVID-19.
This iPad will help students access digital apps that connect students to mental health tools to help regular and support social and emotional development, especially during uncertain COVID times. I will allow for students to use these apps in my office, during intervention time and, because of portability, to meet students where they are (classroom, hallways, wherever a student is) in moments of crisis.
These robust tools will also help me create effective presentations, teaching material and graphics to support students through collaborative curriculum instruction with other teachers in the school. I would be a more effective school counselor with this digital support.
