  • Kindergarten Morning Tubs

    Funded Sep 28, 2023

Your generosity has made such a wonderful impact. Since the implementation of morning tubs began until now we have seen an increase in social and problem solving skills. Students are using their words to share instead of just taking. They are talking to each other more about their creations or what they are doing. They are sharing ideas and helping each other out.

The students look forward to being able to use the tubs in the morning and during indoor recess.

The creativity is really blossoming now! At the beginning students would be unsure of what to create and now we have airplanes, robots, houses, people, etc. I can't wait to see how the impact continues as the year goes on.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coaty

  • Sensory Seekers

    Funded Dec 31, 2021

The items we have received have helped my students in numerous ways. The wiggle seats help my students who have a need for constant movement gain a better focus on their work while giving them the input they need. The weighted frog helped a student who was having a moment of frustration gain composure and helped aide in self-regulation. The fidget poppers helped those of my students with "busy hands" concentrate better and were less likely to grab things that were not theirs during circle time. The Yoda pop it has been a hit in the calm down corner. For students who need extra help with calming their emotions before they reach unsafe levels this has been a big incentive.

All being said I just want to say a big thank you for the impact that you have made on the students in my classroom. They have become more successful and shown just how capable they are with the accommodations that you helped facilitate and that means the world to this teachers heart and will have a ripple affect of an impact in the years to come by giving these students a successful kindergarten year.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coaty

  • Minds On The Move

    Funded Sep 9, 2019

I apologize as I meant to get this thank you out sooner then later. I do want to say a big thank you for your donation that made it possible to obtain flexible seating for the classroom. It has made a big impact with helping my students in their ability to focus and it gives their little bodies just the right amount of movement that kindergarteners need and crave.

Upon receiving our wobble stools and donut chairs, my students literally cheered with delight. They all wanted to be the first one to try them out. I am excited that these items only enhanced our flexible seating options and have made our learning environment even better. Thank you again for supporting classrooms like

mine. It means the world to us that you care.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coaty

  • A Classroom For All Students

    Funded Aug 1, 2016

This project continues to fit the needs of all students in my class. I've noticed that when given a seating preference my students perform better on class work, focus better on tasks, and are genuinely happier. The kids that need to move get that chance too and my "special" kids don't look so special. It's been an amazing experience and I couldn't have made his possible with out you all. This project has been going for two years and we look forward to three and four of making a difference for the young students.”

  • Seating To Fit All Needs

    Funded Mar 18, 2016

    Dear Donors,

Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness in funding our project. The impact has been amazing and helped contribute to the success of all the students in all areas of subject matter. (Math, Reading, Social Studies, and Science)

I know if your not in the education field how strange it must be to see yoga balls and a yoga ball chair on a teachers wish list but let me tell you about the educational impact they have had. I teach kindergarten to a very diverse population when it comes to needs, home environment, and previous school experience. We use the yoga balls at our reading table and they have actually helped kids concentrate on what they are reading as they have given them just the right amount f movement their bodies crave in order to focus on he task at hand. This is across the board for not only my children with special needs but those without. We use the yoga ball chair as an incentive for good behavior. I pull a students name from a bucket and they get to have the yoga ball for the entire day if they make good choices and do their work. It has really helped aide in classroom management. Now for the amazing part out of 18 kids I only have one child below grade level now in reading and that child has also made amazing progress. The same goes for Math. This is almost unheard of and I truly believe that the addition of the yoga balls and the help the bring to the students focus has truly aided in this success. Test scores are also up as I do allow students to use the adaptive seating when testing.

The students were beyond excited when they saw the yoga balls and chair and their excitement has yet to wear out and it's almost the end of the year!

I plan on adding more yoga balls and more types of adaptive seating now that we have seen what success the students have with it. I can't begin to express how thankful I am for your contributions to our project and the impact that you have made for years to come. I only hope that this letter can be a small token of our sincere appreciation!”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Coaty

I have an active and very diverse group of five to six year old who vary in their academic abilities. Many of my children receive free and reduce lunch/breakfast. They come from many diverse multicultural backgrounds. Half of my students live in low-income housing. They need every chance possible to move/fidget and standard seating does not always accommodate this. I work in a much older building with limited resources as far as furniture goes.
