Students can enjoy learning especially when they are having fun. I want to be able to build interactive notebooks with the students for our two primary subjects - reading and math. (Eventually, we will have interactive notebooks for all of our subjects.) I teach at a high poverty school. Many of my students came to school with no supplies at all - not even backpacks. For some of my students, school is the only time they get attention and positive reinforcement. To be better prepared for middle school and then high school, they need the chance to want to learn. They need the desire for lifelong learning. I want to help the students build amazing learning notebooks that they can keep at the end of the school year.
