K - 5 technology students learn many essential skills in my classroom with added benefits of being able to apply those skills back in their own classes and beyond. The value is increased when students are empowered to integrate technology into their regular classroom lessons in a variety of innovative ways. Learning coding skills, how to create and present with technology, and the importance of responsible technology use continues throughout their K - 5 experience. Providing students with a wide-range of engaging, high-interest collaborative technology learning with real-world relevance is imperative for ensuring that our students will be successful as they move beyond our building into the next phases of their life. My students love learning about technology through hands-on experiences and the more resources we have to do so the better, particularly since technology is becoming more prevalent in our lives.
