My school is in a high-poverty area in Indianapolis, Indiana. The majority of my students qualify for free or reduced price lunch. Our school is working hard to provide a quality education to all of our 700 students and make the school a beacon of hope for the neighborhood. They are very sweet students who are eager to learn and what to become strong readers. They unfortunately don't have all of the advantages at home to help them reach this goal. A majority of my students are Hispanic and are trying to learn a new language as well. They are in need of all the support they can receive in order to be successful in school.
