The first step to being an effective learner and teacher is simply having the resources to do so. We are focusing on writing in our classroom but if we do not have pencils to do so, the task becomes irrelevant. We are lacking in simple resources and as a teacher, I can only provide so much. We need pens, pencils, loose leaf paper, paper, glue, markers, highlighters and flashcards which will be used directly by students to assist in developing their writing, reading and studying skills. The expo markers will make it easier for me to draw out examples on the board for students to copy into their notebooks and use to study when they are at home. We need basic resources to reach the level of achievement I know is possible for my students.
