  • Graphic Novels to Engage 4th Grade Readers

    Funded Oct 5, 2024

Thank you for this incredible gift of books and pictures and experiences for my students. My students love reading, and above all they love reading graphic novels. It takes a lot of books to fan the flames of excitement for books and I am so grateful that my students have these new books to stay excited for reading.

Because of your support for our classroom library, my students have access to graphic novels with diverse protagonists. Having diverse books in our classroom library is vital to me and my students. There are so many good books in this project and my students are particularly excited about the I Survived series and Layla and the Bots series. We are so excited.

Thank you so much for making this possible.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Solis

  • Building Classroom Community: Bring Joy through Picture Books

    Funded Sep 18, 2024

Yes! I am so excited about these books! The picture books you have sent us are so beautiful, like jewels, the way that their colors come off the pages. And the stories! It is so fulfilling to have books in our classroom library that make my students laugh.

The books that you sent are crucial to maintaining our classroom community. Classroom community is always important to a positive learning environment. Thank you for giving me the tools that we need in order continue to build trust and empathy in our classroom. These books are exactly what we needed. We are so grateful! Thank you for your generosity and your thoughtfulness.”

  • Healthy Snacks to Encourage Deep Learning

    Funded Aug 19, 2024

My students work so hard in school. They love the challenges and joys that come with all our hard work. And they really love their snacks. Popcorn, applesauce, fruit leathers and Pirate's Booty--snacks are a part of their daily routines and expectations. I'm so grateful to be able to provide my students with this food--it fills their bellies, focuses their minds and brings them joy. Thank you for making this possible and thank you for your incredible generosity--without you this would not be possible.”

  • Brain-Building Games for Amazing 4th and 5th Graders

    Funded May 9, 2024

Thank you so much for these great, brain-building games. These were an AWESOME way to end our school year! And it was a perfect activity for teamwork and to celebrate our year with each other. And I'm thrilled to have these games when we have indoor recess or Friday game day.

My students have exercised their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. I am so grateful for the care and finances you've put towards my classroom and towards providing these great supplies. Thank you for your thoughtfulness!”

  • Keeping My Students Healthy: Water Bottles, Kleenex and Cleaning Supplies

    Funded Jul 28, 2024

These water bottles are exactly what we needed. The first days of school were so unbearably hot in our classroom. We got our water bottles on the end of the first week and as we opened the boxes you could see the relief on some of my students' faces. The water bottles are of good quality, they have interesting features (this is important to students) and ample space to put stickers (also very important to students). It's so good to see students' basic needs being met--and you did that. Thank you for your great generosity and thoughtfulness. We appreciate you!”

  • Puzzles for Brilliant 4th Grade Puzzlers

    Funded Jul 23, 2024

This was an AWESOME way to start our school year! On day one we busted out our new mini puzzles to start with teamwork right away. And it was a perfect activity for teamwork and getting to know each other. And I'm thrilled to have these small puzzles for when we need something short to do (and they've been asking to do them again).

We got bigger puzzles too and some magnetic ones. My students are so excited to use their critical thinking and new puzzling skills. I am so grateful for the care and finances you've put towards my classroom and towards providing these great supplies. Thank you!”

My students work so hard in school. They love the challenges and joys that come with all our hard work. And they really love their snacks.
