  • Amplify Student Voices: A Microphone for 4th Grade

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

This mic is SO COOL! I have never seen anything quite like it before. It functions just like any other microphone, but you can throw it. Even if it hits the ground or a hard surface, it does not get hurt. Currently, we have been using it for our FIRE lessons (that's our English phonics curriculum) and the kids love it. They clamor to be the next to read out an example or the directions to the next activity--which is awesome. I love the clarity it brings to my students' voices and the excitement and engagement it brings to our lessons. It has even bestowed courage upon some of my more nervous public speakers (one of my new-to-country students, who has been working very hard on reading in English, offered to read the directions yesterday--it was lovely). Thank you for your incredible generosity and for your thoughtfulness in donating this to our classroom.”

    Mrs. Solis

  • Growing Our Brains: STEAM for 4th Graders

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Thank you so much for donating these amazing materials to our classroom. We are so grateful to have access to more engineering materials and activities. We use these brain-building materials all the time and it has truly helped us build engagement and a stronger community. We were also in great need of some containers to put our supplies in (and they're so pretty!). Thank you for believing in my students enough to support us with these beautiful new materials. We have grown in our understanding and use of language and our understanding of ourselves. Thank you for making this possible.”

  • Coolest Homework Ever: Science Experiments at Home

    Funded Feb 21, 2025

This was AMAZING! My students loved completing this fun, interactive homework. And I loved sending it home with them--knowing that it would engage my students in learning at home, get families (and siblings) working together and provide a load of fun. These goals were achieved and then some. It was so wonderful to hear students report their learning, results and experiences (that way we could practice our public speaking too). And students loved hearing about other projects. It was a great community builder as well as amazing science learning. Thank you for making this possible!”

  • Supplies for a Magical Second Half of the Year!

    Funded Mar 25, 2025

Yay! Thank you so much for your incredible generosity! My students have loved these supplies since we've gotten back from our Spring Break. With many of the supplies, we held a classroom store--to be honest, not my favorite activity (so much noise in "the market"), but my students LOVE it. The store is part of our classroom economy and my students love to have the chance to spend their money....after paying the rent on their chair. And the new items you sent us were so motivating and exciting. Thank you so much!

I've also been so grateful for getting the microphone and the pencil sharpener--both items are the best examples of their kind (the best microphone and the best pencil sharpener) that I've had in my classroom. I am not exaggerating to say that they have changed how our classroom runs. I no longer have to raise my voice during our lessons and my students are loving the chance to sharpen pencils (it's really sweet).

Thank you for your generous donations--these new supplies have really made a difference in my classroom this spring.”

    With gratitude,

    Mrs. Solis
