Awards and Incentives
Funded Mar 1, 2022The project you helped to fund was a hit! The gifts were received with open arms, the students were so excited to see how people cared enough to send incentives their way. The students were able to focus more using the stress balls, spinners, and other items. It's amazing what incentives can do for students. Incentives helped them focus, stay engage, and made learning fun.
In the classroom, students earn stickers for a variety of things, such as participating, doing a good job, demonstrating good citizenship, and much more. These incentives took the place of stickers and students enjoyed the trade off. I can't express how awesome your gift made us all feel.”

Read and Escape
Funded Mar 26, 2021It is amazing to read a story and have each student have their own copy. The books you helped to provide were a big hit with my students. We averaged 2 to 3 chapters on each reading and spent so much time talking about the characters, summarizing, and making connections. We also formed opinions on the characters and plot and discussed predictions. My students looked forward to reading aloud and got plenty of practice. It's amazing how much we've done with this gift. You have given my students exposure to two great stories, by a great author and the enjoyment of reading, for that I will forever be grateful.”

This classroom project was brought to life by Chevron and 7 other donors.Caring Means Not Sharing.
Funded Dec 30, 2020I wasn't able to personally deliver the supplies to my students myself, but they were able to stop by the school and pick them up themselves. Their morale was lifted upon receiving the supplies.
Besides the supplies being so awesome, my students were overwhelmed by the fact that people they didn't even know cared about them.
The supplies came in handy for learning at home and since each student received their own supplies, they will be able to bring them along when we get back to learning in the classroom. A million thanks for your generosity.”

Printing to Learn
Funded May 14, 2020Thank you for your generosity. Since the school closures in March, my colleagues and I have had to come up with ideas on how to keep our students learning.
This printer allowed me to print out packets for students that did not yet have the technology needed to begin their online learning, as distribution of chrome books and needed hot spots took a while. But thanks to you, all students were engaged in learning with their work packets.
Perhaps, the most exciting thing that happened was that I was able to print the culmination certificates for the whole 5th grade class from home. It would have been very difficult and costly without your gift.”

Funded Jun 18, 2019The expression on my students face was that of wonder, excitement and, joy when they first saw the equipment. They couldn't believe there are people out there so kind that they would care enough to give so graciously.
My students are using the equipment at PE time and during lunch and recess. They have so much fun and they are learning how to play so many sports. Most importantly, they are learning sportsmanship and learning about the importance of community and how to get along with others. We can't thank you enough,”

Funded Apr 19, 2019I would like to thank you for your kindness and support. The earbuds and speaker with microphone were well received and we quickly put them to good use.
The earbuds were such a pleasant surprise to my students, as they were so needed. They loved the beautiful array of colors and they also noticed the quality. The students worked on their reading and Math programs on the Chromebooks using the earbuds. This allowed them to concentrate and focus more efficiently. For the students that normally have a difficult time focusing , the earbuds really helped.
During music , I allowed the students to use the microphone and speaker to sing a song they had written. Knowing that they were going to perform the song, motivated them to write. When it came to performing, we discovered so much talent and the students gained so much confidence. Students that have difficulty with writing, were so into this project. It was rewarding to see how motivated my students were to write and perform.
I know that your gifts will continue to inspire and motivate many more students to come. I thank you again for your generosity.”

21st Century Skills Here We Come!
Funded Dec 20, 2016Words cannot express the gratitude we feel for your kind generosity.
The products that you funded, have been of great use to us. The Chrome book
is being used in our class technology learning center, where students work together to research science or history projects. We use the document reader to display learning materials and visual aids to facilitate learning.
The students love the document reader, because I can project almost anything and they can follow along , it's a great scaffolding tool. The students love the chrome book because they have access to the internet to look up word definitions and to research any topic they desire without having to wait till their computer lab time of the week.
There is a particular student that has really warmed up to the Chrome book, she has found a new love for science and PowerPoint. She has gotten so good at using the Chrome book that she has become my assistant in teaching students how to use it. She has been doing well in all academic areas, and I truly believe your gift has a lot to do with it.”
