"SPIKE" my Students Interest in STEAM!
Funded Nov 2, 2023I am writing to express my deepest gratitude for the generous donation of the LEGO SPIKE Essential kits to our school.
As an educator, I firmly believe that STEAM education is the cornerstone of preparing our students for the future. With the integration of LEGO SPIKE Essential into our curriculum, we are not only nurturing the next generation of doctors, architects, engineers, scientists, and computer programmers, but we are also instilling in them a passion for lifelong learning and problem-solving.
My students were so excited when our LEGO SPIKE kits arrived. They look forward to our weekly sessions where they work with a partner to build, code and test projects. They are thinking critically, problem-solving, and learning to collaborate. I am so excited to witness the incredible inventions and creations that my students will bring to life with these kits.
Once again, thank you for your generosity. Your support means the world to us and will have a profound impact on the educational journey of my students.”

Funded Aug 9, 2022"New Ways to Learn" has helpfully impacted my students. Using resources purchased from Teachers Pay Teachers has brought new resources and activities into our class that have challenged and inspired my students.
Some of the activities have engaged my students in art and gave them confidence in drawing and has also inspired writing to go along with it. Many students were so excited to be able to produce a self portrait and were proud to see it displayed. One seasonal project generated much discussion about how to solve a problem, and students once again drew on their creativity to produce a project that they could display and write about. Yet another resource challenged students to use their knowledge and problem solving skills to work through a digital escape room. The students loved working together collaboratively to solve the puzzles.
The resources acquired through Teachers Pay Teachers have been highly beneficial to my students. They are innovative, exciting and have engaged my students and helped enhance curriculum across all subject areas.”

Funded Nov 15, 2021Our class was excited to receive and use the place value disks. Each student got their own set of disks and was able to use it right away to help practice math foundational skills in addition and subtraction. They were able to use these concrete objects to help see the connection between ones, tens, hundreds, and thousands. They were able to manipulate the disks and see how a ten is worth ten ones and physically move the disks around. It was exciting to see understanding grow. We also used the disks when we played games with the dice to help practice our fluency in addition and subtraction as well as develop strategic solutions to win games.
Thank you for this great opportunity to have these learning tools available to help instruction!”

Funded Aug 19, 2021My class was so excited to receive their individual LEGO building boxes. We have used them to build individual challenges that spark their creativity and imagination. The students are all engaged during their work time. Often, there is collaboration between the students to help each other with their creations. After each build, they write up their projects and explain what they have created. It has been thrilling to see how students can be so creative and how each child can interpret the challenges into a variety of solutions. My students are learning and using critical problem-solving skills each time they build a project. Thank you for helping my students grow in this fun and innovative way!”

New Year, New Tech for Distance Learning
Funded Aug 21, 2020Thank you for helping fund my project, a new laptop for teaching during distance learning. This new laptop is being used daily to help me plan my lessons, as well as teach through ZOOM. Each day I create assignments for my students to do online as well as find supportive materials and videos to enrich their learning. My students and I meet on ZOOM each day from 9-1:40. After class, I use my laptop to review assignments my students have completed.
This laptop also allows me mobility to work between my classroom and home. Often times, I continue working at home and this laptop allows me to just pick up where I left off instead of starting over on a new device.
My students are very happy that I do not get "bumped" off or "frozen" during ZOOM sessions. They are able to see and hear things that I share through ZOOM. It has allowed me to effectively connect with them each day.”

Mailbox Center Needs Replacement
Funded Dec 20, 2011Thank you for your generous donation toward acquiring our mailbox center. The student were so excited when it arrived and we have put it to good use! Each day every student visits their mailbox and uses it to help organize their materials. Homework is retrieved from their mailbox at the end of each day as well as school notices that are sent home weekly. They use the boxes to store their library books and recorders so that they are easily accessible when needed. Absent students can also find missed assignments in their mailboxes when they return.
Thank you for your support, it is donors like you that help make our classrooms a successful learning environment.”
