Thank you so much for providing the materials needed to give my students the fulfilling education that they deserve. I am so grateful. I will make sure my students use these materials in the appropriate manner to support their learning. Thank you so much for investing in the future readers in my class. My students enjoyed using the recorders to hear themselves read. As they listened they were able to hear the pace they were reading and identify mistakes they made when they read their book a second time. They also used the recorder to help them remember the sentences they wanted to write for their writing workshop writing pieces. They were so proud that they were able to work independently. These recorders gave my students the confidence and skills they needed to move to the next grade. We appreciate you for believing in them and supporting them.”

The books donated for this project were greatly appreciated. Since I received them towards the end of school the students were given the books to ensure they where still reading over the summer. Even though I was placed in another school for the next school year, the teachers of that school informed me that the students enjoyed the books. I was also told that some of the students returned their book allowing their teacher to use the books to have group discussion and the students the write book reports.”
Thank you so much for donating the headphones needed for my students to be able to obtain a powerful remote learning experience this school year. Even though it was difficult to provide the students with the level of hands on instruction that they need, I was still able to ensure that they were able to hear instruction given without disturbance as well as clearly hear their responses to instruction given. I, along with my students and their parents are very grateful to everyone who has donated.”
The dry erase board, markers, magnetic manipilatives etc. made creating engaging instructions for my students and myself less confusing and more of a positive experience. With these items I was able to give my students more of a classroom style lesson by actually modeling using a dry erase board which is what they are used to having. The large magnetic money pieces and the colorful dry erase marker helped me keep my students focused and looking forward to their lesson, learning techniques and getting new informations. The detail and size of the money allowed my students to gain the ability to recognize the difference between each bill and each coin. The material helped spark conversations with my students and cause them to ask questions. The parents were even happy to see that some of the familiarities such as teaching styles were still going to be used. Thank you from my students and myself for blessing us with the magnificent educational gift.”

My student population is made up of 4 girls and 8 boys. I am a teacher of a self-contained, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd -grade class. I currently have 3- kindergarten, 2-1st-grade students, and 7-2nd grade. My students' disabilities range from emotional, sensory, delayed social development, speech and language and Autism. Because of these issues, it is hard for them to separate from their parents, trust, and feel safe in an environment outside of the home. Even though the school doesn't have the funding needed to get everything to turn my class into an exciting and engaging environment, I have tried to convert it as much as I could. I would describe my school as a very intimate environment because all staff puts in the effort to get to know each student. I love this because it makes each student fill welcome and that they belong which is a great feeling.
