Currently, weekly I teach all students TK, K, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5th grades music at GES. The music program is a prep time program, so all students including Special Education (mild to moderate and moderate to severe), English Language Learners and other special population students such as Newcomers are included in music instruction. In order to differentiate and present material appropriately to meet the needs of all of my students, I am in need of technology in the music classroom. Times are changing, and students are changing with them. Today's students are in need of more technology integrated into their entire education because of the increase in the presence of technology around them. Studies show technology and music engage the brain in ways that other areas cannot. Using the projector, all grade levels will be able to learn songs and instruments through viewing videos, accessing websites such as smartmusic.com and sightreadingfactory.com. In addition, students with different learning needs are further supported through use of a projector. My students are grateful for any support you can provide for this project.
