  • Playing While Learning

    Funded Sep 11, 2023

Thank you so much for funding my "Playing While Learning" project. I was able to purchase many supplemental items from Teachers Pay Teachers. My students really love using the file folder activities. They are very colorful and students learn to match alphabet letters, numbers, colors, shapes, days of the week, months of the year. All of which encourages learning and maintaining skills. My students and are are truly grateful and appreciative that our project was chosen. Again, we are truly thrilled with being able to add this awesome collection to our instruction.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Alice

  • Seating Is Reading

    Funded Nov 1, 2019

Thank you so much for donating to the "Seating is Reading" project. My students absolutely love sitting at their desks and being able to flip the seating to their desired need (one side has smooth ridges and the other micro-mini bumps). The seating is very comfortable and they often carry the seating with them to find a quiet space in the classroom to read independently. When my colleagues visit my classroom and sit at any of the student's desk, they also enjoy the seating. We are extremely grateful for your donations and contributing to their emerging reading success.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Alice

  • S.T.E.A.M. Rolling Ahead

    Funded Aug 24, 2017

This is just a small token of our classroom's gratitude for your generous donation. The Osmo Kits that you donated are helping us learn and enjoy our math centers. We use them to extend our knowledge of math and to aid in completing classroom assignments. We are leaning counting, addition, multiplication, money, fractions, problem solving, critical thinking and more. We are so excited to have them.

Thank you so much! Without your help we wouldn't have had these vital resources to help us learn.”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Alice

My school is located in the East Roger's Park area of the City of Chicago. It serves a huge population of students that receive free and/or reduced lunch meals. These students come from a very low economic status, and limited English as well. It is one of my goals, as their teacher, to provide the best tools and instruction that I can, to help them move forward academically. They learn in a variety of styles and I like to tailor all of my instruction to support this.
