  • Our Students Leaders Need Your Help

    Funded Dec 1, 2021

    I want to again thank you for assisting our boys and girls this season! Many of the items were given to students that could not purchase their own items. In addition, we were able to add some players with the items we received.

    We are embroidering the backpacks and each student will have a bookbag for academic and athletic use!

    We are now preparing for our summer program that will involve character development, team building, and athletic training. You have helped us get closer to fully funding this endeavor and appreciate the push to get going this summer!!!”

  • Creating Game Changers

    On behalf of Sharpstown HS and our students, I want to thank Dick's Sporting Goods Foundation for their generosity in helping our kids. With all these items, many of our students will be able to participate in more sports and be more active during PE. We are always looking for ways to keep our students engaged and healthy and we have found that through sports we can do just that. In addition, many of the skills they will need later in life are being worked on - such as resilience, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.

  • SHS and Les Miserables

    What an amazing experience for our kids getting to see Les Miserables. YOU made this happen and we want to thank you for your support.

    Coincidentally, I had scheduled the Alley Theater to bring one of their teaching actors to our campus to talk about the history of theater the week before the show. Many of the kids that you see in the pictures were able to see the show and come back to talk about it to the rest of the class.

Many of our students do not have the finances to purchase proper practice/workout clothes. With this donation, we will be able to support at least 45 of our 9-12 grade level female student-athletes. Your donation will assist us in providing some of the apparel that will allow them to workout and run. Many of them are multi-sport athletes that not only excel on the playing fields, but also in the classroom. Through our workouts, we are able to learn valuable life lessons such as commitment, teamwork, resilience, and HARD WORK!

About my class
