My school is very small. We have fewer than 300 students and our school is 7th through 12 grade. I have been here for 11 years and absolutely love my job. My students are so kind and compassionate. They struggle primarily because they don't have lots of general background knowledge about the world. Like many kids from small, rural towns their perspectives are limited to the very narrow worldview of the community around them. I believe the purpose of education is to provide students with a wealth of knowledge and experience so that they have as many tools as possible to achieve their future goals. Knowledge is power.
