Adding these seating options will not only help with wiggles, but will also teach my students about self monitoring their learning. By integrating these seating options into my classroom, I will introduce students to a concept of smart spots. Students will be able to pick their seat as long as it is a smart spot. A smart spot is a seat where they can focus on their work and do their best. By offering a variety of seating options I can teach my students about making good choices to enhance their learning and keep them moving. Studies show that students learn best while moving.
