  • Full STEAM Ahead!

    Funded Apr 16, 2018

My students and I are so grateful for the generous donations to our classroom. My students enjoy grabbing a steam bin and working independently and in groups. The play-doh and magna-tiles are a huge hit in the classroom. My students work to build many things using their new resources. When my students were first introduced to their new steam bin items, their faces lit up the entire room! We are so thankful that Donors Choose and project donors have donated to our classroom. Thank you again!”

    With gratitude,

    Ms. Casparro

  • Organization is KEY!

    Funded Oct 17, 2017

Organization is so important for a classroom to run smoothly. We use our pencil cases everyday! Students have their pencils, erasers, glue stick and crayons in their pencil cases. This helps ensure that we have all of our materials handy and we do not need to search for our most used materials. Our notebooks are also a daily used item. We use our daily journals to write about our feelings, how our day is going and so much more! Thank you for your sincere donation! We appreciate you so much!”

  • Let's R.E.A.D. All Day!

    Funded Apr 8, 2017

Thank you for your generous donation to our classroom. Reading is so important and doesn't come easy for some students. The Elephant and Piggy series allow my students that need a extra push to feel confident in their reading abilities. They love the dialogue in these books and the funny adventures Elephant And Piggy go on together.

My students love to read; they grab a book, a stuffed animal, and their favorite reading spot and begin going on the adventures that many books provide. Thank you again for your generous donation.”

  • SELF Space!

    Funded Jul 12, 2016

Having this classroom rug has changed the organization and independence in my students' daily rug time. They quickly go to their independent colored square; criss-cross applesauce waiting patiently for their new concept to be taught to them. In our classroom, we have many transitions and during each transition (from tables to rug) my student's know exactly where to go!

On the first day of school, my student's were excited to see their new rug! They love having their own space! Before this rug; I had to use tape as my students' carpet spot. Now my student's feel independent and enjoy their new classroom rug!”

  • Reading Takes You on the Greatest Adventures

    Funded Apr 22, 2016

    Dear Donors,

We appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into your donation for our classroom books. My students are loving every minute of their reading time while reading these fantastic new books!

My students eagerly unpack in the morning just to begin reading the many various books of Pinkalicious and the adventures of Henry & Mudge, and Amelia Bedelia (just to name a few).

We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your gracious donation. We hope many more children get to experience such kindness from amazing donors like you!”

  • We Love to Learn; Yes We Love to Learn!

    Funded Mar 29, 2016

It's been an amazing year with these students. My students are eager to learn and are so excited to get their new tools for our classroom. When I showed them the project and explained your role in making it a reality, they were overwhelmed with appreciation. Their comments were; "This is Amazing!" "I can't believe they donated all of this to us!"

You have made it possible for them to take responsibility for their movements. They are eager to learn in their own way.

You have given them, and me, a gift beyond measure. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

  • First Grade Blue Skies

    Funded Dec 20, 2015

It's been an amazing few months with these students. My students are eager to learn and are so excited to get their new tools for our classroom. When I showed them the project and explained your role in making it a reality, they were overwhelmed with appreciation. Their comments were; "This is Amazing!" "I can't believe they donated all of this to us!"

You have made it possible for them to take home their favorite stories to share with their families, take ownership in maintaining a classroom library, and continued responsibilities with their seat sacks.

You have given them, and me, a gift beyond measure. Thank you!”

    With gratitude,

My students pour into the sound of welcoming good morning music; bopping their heads as they unpack anxiously, to learn and interact with their peers. They grab their books, snuggle up with a pillow and lose themselves in adventure. That's only the beginning! We conclude our days with a "SNAP" classic, "I've Got the Power!" My students have the POWER to reach for the stars. Our classroom is filled with many friends of diverse backgrounds. Each and everyone of them are jewels, treasures dug up from the Earth. Excited, energetic, light hearted and bright are words that best describe these gems. My students demonstrate to me daily that the cares of this world can be overcome with a smile and hard work. Our school is located in an urban environment of which poses a challenge for many of our families.
