In our classroom, we stress the concept of a leader. As third graders, our students begin to take on the role of the "upper" elementary students. This means we are looked at in order to set an example for others, we do this through leadership roles. No matter the ability of a student in the class, each gets to become a leader - showing off something that they truly excel at and can teach to another student. My class consists of twenty students. I have several exceptional needs students in my room, as well as, a few ESL students. The classroom ranges in abilities from those functioning two or more grade levels below average to gifted students. It is my goal to give every student a chance to succeed in my classroom.
