This project will give my low income students the opportunity to read and research topics of interest that will improve their growing projects within our school garden. My students need current knowledge that is real-world tested as a building block for understanding and expanding their innovative ideas regarding growing crops. Magazine articles provide how-to tips, professional advice, and scientific discoveries related to agriculture in the United States. The articles also provide students will great examples of well-written paragraphs that they can use as guides for writing their own non-fiction reports following data collection form the garden projects and outdoor events.

About my class
